According to a recent Harris Poll survey “automakers are
starting to win over customer confidence in hybrid cars, especially with
younger drivers.”
Harris discovered in this poll one-third of car owners (32%)
review they have an interest in purchasing a hybrid vehicle and 23% say that
their absorption in hybrids has added from a year ago. That does not mean
though that we can anticipate compounds to be wide on the streets all around
the nation all of the rapid, as traditional
vehicles still get the nod by more than half (59%) of customers as a
vehicle choice.
55 % indicated a new because they simply desired to spend
less on the cost of petrol purchases. Less sized number, 26 %, indicated
attention because of ecological factors.
Playing a huge aspect into who is purchasing green vehicles
is age, according to Harris. While nearly one-third (32%) of those under 35
years are more interested than they were a year ago, the same can be said for
only 15% of those over the age of 67. Actually, it was mentioned, 11% of those
67 and older review they are less fascinated in comparison to one season ago.
In conditions of the choice being hybrid or other green car
alternatives like power, hybrid car remains the far and away choice. More than
a one fourth said something like the toyota Prius would be their first choice
in the alternative fuel vehicles section, while just one in ten say they would
consider diesel fuel (11%) or all power (9%) vehicles for their next purchase.
Almost two-thirds (63%) report that they are not likely to consider diesel or
all electric options at all for their next car purchase.
According to Harris, more than one-third (35%) of car owners
say they find the vehicle quality of American brands to be lower than imports.
Just under a one fourth of car owners (24%) said American-brand automobile
quality to be better than imports, by evaluation.
